Matt thanks for setting this up again. As for your Birthers blog having grown up in DC and I way to many friends who work in government. All I can say if they wanted this to go away was to show people the long form certificate like all of us have on file.
But it serves a useful propose to keep the issue alive. If flushes out all those radical, racist, right wingers and it gives the MSM (main stream Media) an attaboy “see how those nutty folks in those blue state think”. So on so many fronts, these factors have to be analized, on a more paranoid mindset could even say they are keeping this alive because they can begin to build a database of people to go after later on. Or it could be true, and we the huddled masses may never know the truth.
As a good friend of mine who has been guarding our Presidents since the Carter years advised me many years ago… it really doesn’t matter that much since they can only screws things up for 8 years. Althought, he did say he was retiring in Jan 2010 and moving his family out of the blast zone…hehehehe aka Washington DC. Or was he kidding, I can never tell with those secret service guys.
Personally, I fall more into “prove it” column than all this feel good crap. Guess I am just an old fashion Greedy Capitalist.
